DEAPRTMENT OF MATHEMATICS

 

    The Department of Mathematics was inaugurated under the Department of Science and Humanities in the year 2009 in our college. The department takes interests to develop students to shine in their respective fields of Engineering through the basement of Pure and Applied Engineering Mathematics from the beginning. Since Mathematics is the backbone of Science, Engineering and Technology, the department of Mathematics encourages students to learn the language of Mathematics in the proper way through teaching and other academic activities. The staff members of Department of Mathematics regularly attend the Faculty Development Programmes, Conferences, Seminars and Workshops. All the staff members have completed Ph.D., and published around 25 research papers in various national and international reputed journals. A minor research project worth Rs. 50,000 was completed by Dr. N. Kavitha, Head of the Department under CTDT of Anna University Chennai. Department of Mathematics has organized a one day Seminar on Recent Trends in Mathematics (SRTM-2015) on 27th March 2015. Department of Mathematics, University College of Engineering Pattukkottai is very proud to inaugurate Srinivasa Ramanujan Mathematics Association, UCE Pattukkottai on 22nd January 2016 in the remembrance of the great Mathematics Genius Srinivasa Ramanujan.
